I chose the Twin Piston aircraft to fly. It was small and perfect for a short flight overlooking the city of Los Angeles. The city looked so much better from the sky. As soon as we were up in the air, nothing could wipe the smile off both of our faces.

“Do you take a lot of women on flights often?” she asked before she bit her lower lip.

“Not at all. I usually fly alone. It’s crazy because Scarlett just asked me yesterday to fly with me. I wouldn’t let her come.”

“Wow. What makes me so special?”

“I don’t know… You just are.”

I was sure she was questioning my sincerity. I was sure that she thought I was a liar, but I was actually telling the truth. She went back to smiling as she looked down at the land below us. The rest of the flight, she simply admired everything from the clouds silently.

After a half an hour of flying, I landed. I took her by the hand and escorted her off the plane.

“Thank you, Nolan. I had a blast and I needed to get away from Sandy Cove for a little while.”

“No problem. I did, too.”

“You’re an excellent pilot. I still can’t believe that I’m the first woman that you’ve ever taken to fly with you.” That beautiful smile I was becoming fond of wouldn’t go away.

“It’s the truth... Chanel, you’re sexy and intelligent. I want to know everything there is to know about you. When the time is right, hopefully, I can be with you the way I see myself being with you.”

She thought for a moment as she studied my eyes. “I see myself with you, too. This part scares me the most because I know that my issues are far from over with Arturo. This mess is just beginning, but I don’t want you to give up on me. I promise that I will tie this all up nicely. Then, I’ll be all yours.”

Her intense stare made me blush. I was sure that I was as red as a vine of cherry tomatoes sitting in the middle of a farmer’s garden. I wrapped my arms around her waist and brought her body close to mine. I planted a kiss on her lips and indulged in her kisses for as long as we wanted.
